I chose the bean bag chairs, the rug, bookcase, and the bulletin board to create a space for my students to be able to use the "Chill Space" as a place for them to not only improve on their reading skills but to also be able to monitor their behavior when things in the classroom becomes to hectic for them to control themselves.
Instead of asking if they can take a walk or seat in the school hallway-they will be able to ask me if they can go to the "Chill Space" to refocus. I chose the colors of the items in order that they would match the colors of the classroom.
