My project will help provide my students will a cozy, inviting reading area where students can explore different developmentally appropriate books that will be sorted based on their interests. Students will be able to cozy up and dive into an array of adventures through our classroom library. Moreover, our classroom library supports our Daily 5 literacy centers and provides students will a literacy rich environment that introduces them into different types of texts. My goal is for students to leave my classroom with a love of reading and a passion to learn. Students have shown that students who are in a literacy rich environment and are exposed to different types of texts, become stronger readers.
