I was first introduced to flexible seating in the spring of 2017 when I student taught in a kindergarten classroom. Some options included traditional seats, rocking chairs, stools, and wobble chairs. The children in the classroom were able to pick which option to use and change out as needed/wanted. I took notice in the pride and sense of self that went into these choices being made by the kiddos. I want to bring those opportunities and choices into my classroom as well so that my kiddos have opportunities to make choices that directly affect themselves as learners. Kids need to move! These wobble chairs and stools will make a huge difference in student鈥檚 learning by allowing them to determine which option is best for them.
