Having this technology in my classroom would create a wide variety of new experiences for my students. It will be used for presentations, virtual job shadows, virtual guest speakers and more! We currently do not have our own projector, and often have to borrow one from another classroom. The projector we use is fairly outdated and typically takes a good chunk of class time to set up. I have run into technical issues with our current setup that has cost me several minutes of class time. Having an Apple TV setup and Samsung Smart TV with a webcam will allow my students to experience guest speakers from anywhere in the world as well as virtual job shadows and job interviews. Part of my curriculum involves exposing students to different career paths. While having guest speakers from our small community is a wonderful experience for my students, having this technology, with the addition of a webcam, would allow guest speakers from all across the world to be a part of my classroom. It would create new experiences for my students because most of them have never left the state of Maine.
