Femineer is a club associated with Cal Poly Pomona to inspire future female engineers. It is a mission of Femineer to increase awareness of STEM careers to our female students by providing them hands-on experience so they can develop their skills.
At our school, we aspire to spark the interest of Hispanic students to pursue engineering or any STEM field careers in the future. The main objective of this field trip is for students to learn the science and math of aerodynamics. They will understand the nature of fluids and how they exert forces on solid objects and perform experiments with trained professionals. This field trip will also help prepare our students to take more rigorous classes in high school such as Physics and Calculus.
Since our school is a Title I school, we often need the support of our community to fund school activities and field trips. With your donation, we can meet our goal in educating our young Femineers in Lathrop about STEM careers by experiencing real applications of science, technology, engineering and math outside the boundaries of our school.
