Building a culture of learning in the library involves, first, providing a clean, well-organized environment. My rug is old and falling apart. Students need quiet and attractive spaces to read, reflect, and work. I will continue to build a culture of learning by bringing in meaningful and relevant books that my students want to read!
The first step, then, in building a culture of learning is to have comfortable and flexible seating arrangements to meet the needs of the students. Whether they are reading, working on individual assignments, or engaging in small group activities, flexible learning spaces will facilitate student learning and growth.
Many thanks!
