My students deserve a classroom where they feel joyful, inspired, safe and comfortable. As a first year teacher in a Title I school, I need help to make my vision of a fun and inclusive classroom a reality for all of my students. My vision for my students is to make math come alive for my students and allow them to interact in a variety of ways.
During each lesson, I implement some sort of interactive activity, project-based learning lesson, and take math off the traditional paper. However, I cannot do this with my empty classroom. Individual whiteboards will help them interact with the math tangibly, but without using paper. My students love to move around and work in groups, so large graph paper helps them be able to work together on bigger projects to find solutions. Your donation would help me get my classroom organized and give them the tools to help focus on their learning.
My kids and their families believe wholeheartedly in the value of a solid educational foundation. Even as a first year teacher, I want to give them the best 7th grade education I possibly can, because they deserve nothing less.
