Students need a time to warm up and wind down during the school day. They benefit from playing, building, and creating while interacting with other students.
Please help me foster this creative environment for my students.
This past year, I was able to implement this idea within my classroom (on a baby scale) and my students THRIVED! When they walked through the door each morning, they were able to go to their assigned STEM bin and begin creating, while others trickled through the door. I loved it! It gave me the time I needed to take attendance, as well as take care of other issues, such as leaking lunch boxes, crying students, etc... And no instructional time was lost.
I also used these STEM bins as a reward. My students could use these bins to wind down at the end of the day. I would LOVE to implement this idea on a larger scale and I truly need your help to do so. These STEM toys are expensive and not in this single mother's budget.
Thank you for your interest and consideration.
