These books will be used to reflect and discuss what wealth is and how it can shape a person's life. Moreover, through readings and classroom dialogue we will take a look at the repercussions of homelessness in America as well as how wealth factors into racial wealth gap.
In this semester's Economics and Sociology class, we want to learn about how homeownership is a significant factor in building wealth. We look forward toward learning how redlining came about. We will use these material to reflect upon social stratification and compare through the use of these materials the idea behind renting and owning in America.
