Music is a great way to teach a wide variety of subjects. Specifically to this project, music helps teach students literacy skills. K-2 music classes end with a song tale. A songtale is exactly what it sounds like- a story set to music. These beautifully designed books (illustrations are all by different college illustration majors!) provide students with a magical experience to boost their literacy skills.
Today, literacy skills are more important than ever. The ability to read is required in virtually every job. These books will support what the students are learning in their other classes, as well as support students who are learning English for the first time.
