As a new teacher, I'm coming into the classroom with fresh new ideas but with limited resources. Additionally, I'm working in a high needs school where our students are from a low socioeconomic background and therefore, more often than not, my student's parents cannot afford their child's school supplies.
The supplies I'm asking for will give my students a fighting chance to succeed. The paper, pencils, pens, organizers, and markers are all essential for a conducive classroom environment. Everything provided will help enhance my students experiences. My 3rd graders have a right to the same school supplies and school experiences as students who attend more affluent schools. Everything that is provided will be deeply appreciated by not only me, but by my 25 students.
