The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students would greatly impact our classroom's functionality. Technology and being one-to-one is brand new to our district, like many things this year. Each student received a tablet to use for when/if we go to distance learning. But now that we have the tablets, we are missing some important materials. Such as, a case to protect our new devices! We are overjoyed to have tablets but the students are nervous to use them in the classroom because we told to keep the plastic on each tablet as long as it will last (while a child gently uses it through the plastic). Another issue that we have found with our new devices is that charging the tablets individually is quite a difficult task because we only have so many outlets. A charging station would be so helpful and we could place their tablets and charge them at the end of the day! The functionality of having all the tablets in one location would be drastically cut down on the hassle of only charging two tablets at a time, whereas with the USB charging station, I could charge up to ten tablets at a time!
Please consider donating to our project; you will not only help to improve and increase the functionality of technology in our first grade classroom, but you will give students the confidence to use their devices to learn in a new and exciting way!
