Not everyone can stay focused sitting in hard seats all day. Some need a chance or opportunity to move in order to stay on task. By providing options for flexibility for students who are unable to concentrate otherwise will improve my students' learning. Teaching cannot be cookie cutting, why should our seating be? Everyone learns differently and require different accommodations in order to do so. I truly feel as though flexible teaching/learning goes hand-in-hand with flexible seating. If a student is comfortable, they are able to learn and are going to learn. The flexible seating options I have chosen will also allow students to get out their added energy (i.e. students with ADHD or ADD) they may have and anxiety (some have anxiety for various reasons, i.e. test anxiety, issues at home, autism, etc.)
