My sixth grade science students live in one of the richest ecological environments in the world- the Lowcountry Salt Marsh!- however some have never had the chance to explore and appreciate the diversity of life around them. Using these picture books as Read-Alouds will help my students develop a sense of wonder and excitement about their natural home and the clear mounts displays will give students a chance to see what makes these amazing creatures "tick" on the inside! All of the materials will be used for both in-person and virtual learning and are re-usable every year!
