The products that I have selected will help my students by giving them hands-on opportunities to understand our genetic makeup. They will better understand how our DNA is shaped and where genes are located within the DNA strand. My students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive when given the opportunity to create a model of a science concept that they can take home rather than just viewing pictures or watching videos. I have seen how hands-on activities can positively affect my students and hope that the materials for the project will help us grow even more!
