Having students who are non-verbal and who have low expressive language can be very difficult at times. With the help of printer ink and lamination paper, I would be able to give my students appropriate reading materials to teach them necessity everyday skills. Some things I would be able to make are individual social stories for these students to help with their daily living or what they may strive and/or lack on. These books can be used in the classroom or at home for the child to increase anything we may be working on. Interactive stories are another great resource for these students to help give them a chance to respond receptively which in turn will help them to become expressive.
By donating to this project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention, focus, and communication needs, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. Students will be able to focus on the books made to help with their academic skills, attention skills, cognitive skills, and most important with their communication skills.
