Wow! Kids are hungry a lot, right?! In our special education classroom, our staff personally buy snacks for our students all year. It isn't easy learning on an empty tummy! However, our staff refrigerator is downstairs and with no extra time between groups coming and going to make trips to the break room, we can only store non-perishable snacks (like granola bars, goldfish, pretzels, and fruit snacks), which are not always the healthiest.
I'll keep buying snacks for our students but I'd love to buy healthier ones and need a place to store those healthy snacks (fruit, cheese, veggies). So please help our Resource Room classroom acquire a small refrigerator for our so we can provide and safely store healthier snacks for our students.
