Our students come from a lower income area and as a school we do not provide locks for our PE scholars. Scholars provide their own locks from home, but many lose them during the year or can only afford locks that do not hold up for very long. We are hoping to order locks for all of our lockers and be able to provide all of our scholars with a locker and lock to seal their belongings during class or during the school day. Our school does not have hall lockers so our scholars have no where to put their things other than their backpacks. As of right now 40-50% of our scholars leave their bags on the ground in the locker room and there are issues with theft, pranks and trash being stored in empty lockers.
