This flexible seating project will allow my students the opportunity to move their bodies while working in my class. Children need the freedom to maintain movement without it being a distraction to their learning and the learning of others. Slight movements on flexible seating provide an outlet for students who tend to become fidgety or impatient while working in class. Providing students with a choice of seating also allows them to be comfortable with their environment before a lesson is introduced. This helps them feel apart of the classroom environment and a decision maker in their own right. Flexible seating requires responsibility on the students’ part as well. Give students less restrictions and more comfort within their learning environment.
