I am a first-year teacher trying to build my first classroom library. While I have been able to find some books at Goodwill and thrift stores, I am trying to have books that are as diverse as the students in my class. I think allowing the students to choose what types of books they read will give them a better appreciation for what they are reading. This project will give me the opportunity to add books to my library that I may not be able to get otherwise. I think a great classroom library can make all the difference in whether the students are engaged in, and excited about their literary journey.
