Our preschool program recently took the components of our social-emotional curriculums and combined them into one guide for use across all our Early Childhood Programs & classrooms.
Since young children learn best through interaction, we chose to incorporate puppets into our learning. We need you to help us purchase Tucker the Turtle to demonstrate how to calm our bodies when we are upset, and child puppets to help us learn through social stories.
We also have additional resources such as books, breathing balls, and "pawsitivity" (since our mascot is the cub!) stickers to help encourage children to make good social-emotional choices. Part of our curriculum recognizes when we make "pawsitive" choices and encourages children to be super friends! We are hoping to purchase a cape for each classroom, so we can take turns recognizing our super friends in our classrooms.
Your support would help us use our curriculum guide more efficiently and provide us with tools to explicitly teach social-emotional skills to more than 50 students!!
