Children learn best through play and total physical interaction. The use of their 5 senses - hearing, seeing, touching, tasting and feeling - encourages learning from every angle to all learners. The materials I am requesting will replace old, worn and broken sensory materials as well as incorporate additional materials to spotlight the use of the 5 senses. Learning with materials that encourage the use of the 5 senses builds language, physical development, fine and gross motor development, socialization, problem solving and cognitive development. These skills will build critical connections in the brain as well as foster a love for learning.
