Learning is often interrupted by my student's personal health needs or a small problem that to a student is "the worst thing ever." A sneeze, a paper cut, an unexpected menstrual period, and the rare instance when a student forgets to put on deodorant are some of the distractions to learning.
My project is designed to minimize the time that students spend out of the classroom seeking a tissue, band-aid, or sanitary napkin, so they can immediately address their issues and focus on instruction and their studies.
The regular sanitizing of the learning environment helps to stop the spread of illness; hence reducing the amount of time that students miss from school as a result of illness. Providing the classroom with the supplies that students need to be healthy permits students to be more confident and capable of being their best.
