Positive Behavior Intervention Support (PBIS) has been proven to reduce problem behavior, increase attendance and increase academic performance among other things. The second most important thing after defining behavior and expectations (and consequences) is to recognize and reward positive behavior. Many of our students are intrinsically rewarded with the positive relationships they have from following expectations. Some students need external motivation before they start naturally getting those positive rewards from peers and adults. Both groups of students look forward to spending their Cougar Cash that they have earned in the classroom and common areas. By supporting this project, you will be helping to make this student store a reality. Students gave input on school supplies, fidgets and fun little goodies that they would love to see in the store. The materials you are funding will be "The Store". Thank you in advance for considering this project. Our students work so hard at not only becoming impressive scholars but model citizens. It's important to recognize that growth.
