All of our students want to learn and are challenged by their physical, mental, and/or visual disabilities. Using fine motor skills toys and activities will make learning fun and engaging for them. Our special needs students use their hands constantly. They are always exploring their environment with their hands especially the students with visual impairments. All students engage in their five senses, even taste by putting the learning toys/materials in their mouth. Keeping the learning toys/materials and activities clean is very important. Sanitizing the learning toys will help prevent germs and viruses, which allows our special needs students to stay healthy and attend school everyday. Sanitizing is an important part of our school routine at the beginning and end of every school day. High five and thank you for taking the time to read about my special needs class.
