By attending this seminar, I will be able to help students with special needs self-regulate their emotions and behaviors. Many students with special needs find school to be difficult. Expectations can overwhelm students and make school a negative experience.
At this seminar, I will learn strategies to help students reduce frustration, which can lead to emotional outbursts, lack of confidence and other problems. These practices will help my students become more successful and independent by teaching them to self-regulate their emotions and have more positive experiences in school. By implementing these interventions at the elementary stage, my students can use these strategies into middle school high school, and beyond.
