Having a bookshelf to store our classroom stories on will make it easier for the students in the room to find the book they are looking for. We currently use a deep bin, which can be frustrating when kiddos are looking for a special book.
Having an organized classroom makes it easier for my students to be successful and build independence.
Independence is very important for these students who have so little control over most of their school day.
We are also asking for math and reading materials to help supplement the schools curriculum. Many students with DCD are working on functional academics and their grade level curriculum will not be appropriate.
