The goal of this project is to give students access to books in grades 3-5. Several graphic novels and high-interest books have been selected to enhance family libraries and increase recreational reading. Books have been chosen for primary students as well.
Adding books to family libraries is another way to promote family literacy. Once the students have read these books they will have the opportunity to exchange them at our school Book Exchange held twice a year. At the Book Exchange, students bring in gently used books and trade them for other books of interest to them and their families.
