This is my first year at FRES, and as soon as I took out my ukulele to play for the students, they immediately wanted to learn how to play one.
The students will learn a variety of chords to play an array of different repertoires. Once students are comfortable with the chord formations, my plan is for them to perform for each other, the school, and compose their own pieces.
Students will each learn the ukulele in music class, and if there is a chance to rehearse during recess, I will make them accessible so they can practice some more!
