Hands on materials teaches students how to understand engineering and math concepts through play! Students will be highly engaged in constructive play, incorporating movement in learning, and deepening their understanding at the same time.
Problem solving with hands-on materials is STEM! Being able to use physical objects gives students immediate feedback and increases the rigor of their learning. The Lincoln logs, Legos, and Magformers are extremely versatile in building hundreds of different types of structures. Students can recreate different structures or invent their own. Having different types of materials keeps interest levels high and lets students explore variations. This promotes math, engineering, and creativity.
