Fractions is a tough 3rd-grade concept and part of the curriculum standards. Having fraction manipulatives to handle helps them to understand "parts." Visuals are vital at this development stage. Fraction bars enable to student to have a hands-on learning experience, thus allowing them to process the concept. Bingo games are important for reinforcing concepts taught in the classroom. I will use multiplication and division bingo as a reinforcement tool for these vital third-grade concepts. These reinforce memorization and support good study habits. I will use these for whole group, small group instruction, and independent instruction. These are the more vital concepts in third grade.
