My Kindergarten students are constantly on the move. With the help of flexible seating they will be given the chance to be comfortable while they work. The materials that were selected for my students are ones that I think will encourage them to find the seat that works best for them.
My hope is that flexible seating will help my students be able to focus on their tasks given, all while enhancing their education. I believe that my students will now feel empowered and motivated to learn! The flexible seating choices will not be distracting to others since everyone will have a special seat. I also like that the materials selected can be moved throughout the classroom easily.
In Kindergarten at my school we have Flex Groups where our students change classrooms for one hour each day. During Flex Groups our students are in centers based on their needed skills. Not only will my class be able to use the new flexible seating materials, but also my Flex Group students.
