Kindergarten is fun! At this age, kids should feel learning is a game. At least, in my class it is. We have songs, projects, hands-on activities, and messy experiments. Coloring, cutting, and gluing are always a must in my classroom. They absolutely love it when they have created a masterpiece!
This is not possible if we do not have the essentials. Paper, supply caddies, leveled books, pocket charts, dry erase markers, and center work are necessary for the little ones to stay organized and engaged. That's why we need these materials in my classroom. Five year old students thrive when things are organized and entertaining. That's why we need these items.
In addition, my classroom uses TPR (Total Physical Response) to learn concepts. Students need to move around and mimic the movements to learn certain concepts when learning how to read. A parachute would help us play games that are centered in reading. It is a great tool for Kindergarten students to have. Help us please!
