Our thrift shop provides the experience of having a job and job training earlier so that they have time to acquire the appropriate work habits that give them the skills necessary to reintegrate into community settings. The donations consist highly of donated clothing items. Quality racks and hangers will help the students to be able to sort, hang, and categorize items by size, making it easy for stocking, inventory, and sales. Size markers and rack labels help the students to easily identify where to put the materials. The suggested donations raised are put back into the thrift shop and used for community-based instruction. Students also work on banking skills such as accounting and book keeping. Community service projects will also be run out of the store utilizing donations to give back to the wider community such as toiletry bags to students who are homeless.
