Chromebooks would bring the world to my students' fingertips. I want my students to realize that technology is more than video games played after school. That they can virtually experience science, math, the arts without ever leaving the classroom. They would be able to learn about or research anything their hearts desire. Technology opens doors that they have not even thought of.
As I look in the eyes of my second graders, I see a potential physician, an engineer, a homemaker, a secretary, an entrepreneur or a service worker. I see faces that someday might find a cure for diabetes or develop computer software for people facing life's challenges. I see potential, and it is my job to ensure the success of my students.
