I have several students in my classroom who like to learn through physical activities and other kinesthetic experiences. However, there are moments during the day when the students who have this learning preference have difficulty remaining focused because they require physical engagement (i.e., lessons on the rug, partner reading on the carpet, community circles). I believe that have these tools in my classroom will not only increase the level of attention my students can give but, in turn, it will aid their learning! In addition, my students can benefit from pencils grip, which will make the experience of writing more comfortable as they learn new types of writing during the remainder of the year.
