I am a preschool teacher in Newark, New Jersey. My students are young eager learners, who learn best through hands on experiences. We use creative curriculum, which is a research-based curriculum that features exploration and discovery as a way of learning, enabling children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills. We are currently working on promoting STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) in the classroom. STEAM education allows students more opportunities to engage in hands on learning, especially technology, science, and engineering. In an effort to make science come alive, we are seeking donations. 1. Digital camera (will allow students an opportunity to take pictures of their work, and observe the process of printing the images) 2. iPads (will allow students the opportunity to research and learn how to type) 3. Telescope (will allow students to explore the Earth)
