My students and I worked daily as a family in our class. This carpet will give my students their sense of community within the classroom again. Our school was damaged during Hurricane Florence. We have been displaced to another school. We do not have any of our personal belongings. Therefore I am trying to rebuild our classroom to give them a sense of ownership again. This carpet will give us a place to meet throughout the day as we engage in many learning possibilities with each other. This will help us rebuild what we had at our school. As stated before, we are a family and this carpet will help us come together as a community daily.
