Learning through play is one of the most beneficial forms of learning. Many of my students speak English as their second language. The vocabulary, sight word and story games are important ways for students, English learners or not, to learn language skills. These games will provide students time to learn pre-reading and writing skills, as well as, how to speak to each other in conversation. Peers at the Kindergarten level often learn best through each other during play. Providing students with materials to play with, such as dolls, puppets and dress up, I will be helping them strengthen their language skills. This, in turn, will help them feel more comfortable in class and during more structured learning times . Thank you for helping my students succeed!
