This rug will give my class a spot to come together each morning for morning meeting and for other learning opportunities throughout the day. The easel will help me present the morning message or other anchor charts to enhance my students learning.
Having a spot to come together as a class for morning meeting will help build our classroom community. Building our classroom community will build up my students' confidence and provide students with a better learning environment.
As a teacher, I feel more comfortable teaching at the rug with all the students right in front of me. The students are closer to each other and they can easily "turn and talk" with one another to help each other come up with ideas or answers to questions. It is also nice for the students to not be at their desks all day long.
Not only would this rug help with morning meeting and with math or literacy lessons throughout the day but it would also provide a comfy spot for independent reading or flexible seating in the classroom.
Thank you for your consideration in helping my students continue to grow their classroom community by giving them a spot where they can all comfortably come together every morning and throughout the day!
