Tests are a part of life. Most students groan and complain when a test is quickly approaching. This doesn't always have to be the case! With a magical combo of dodgeballs, programmable spheros, and a fully customizable wheel, test prep will never be the same! There is no limit to how these items will be used when infused with the creativity of children; they will be directly involved in finding new ways to review.
I have an initial vision to use these items to make test prep fun, and test taking rewarding. Vocabulary words being placed on a wheel that students spin for points or punishments, similar to a game. Dodgeball games that have students answer math problems to get back into a game. Programmable spheros to not only promote STEAM learning in the classroom, but to promote teamwork and programming to have a sphero travel a large world map to review geography for 6th grade Ancient Civilizations standards.
This is only the beginning. As stated above, my initial vision will not be the limiting potential of this project. It is not only improved by student creativity, but it depends on it. When students participate in their learning and review, school does not become a place of worry or stress, but a rewarding destination of knowledge.
