We are requesting four Acer laptops which will power the high tech equipment we already have. Our old computers crash on makerspace and robotics projects. These new laptops with big hard drives and expanded memory will help students program our Pepper robots, design laser cuts and etched glass, model 3D prints and produce personalized apparel. Our robotics team will be able to take a functioning laptop to compete with affluent suburban districts. Our freshman entrepreneurship class will use high tech manufacturing to create real products for real customers, learning design and technology alongside business skills.
Updated computers are the lynchpin between our students' genius and the high tech tools in our makerspace. We have one quality laptop at the moment, and this is a bottleneck for our students' learning and productivity. With four more high quality computers, our students can do more, and learn more. We hope to become a hub for high tech manufacturing, computer science and robotics. Please help us invent that future!
