In kindergarten we teach life cycles of animals, and I love having my students experience it in real life. In the past we have had a science resource center where we were able to order eggs and watch chicks hatch. We were able to watch caterpillars grow, wrap up into a pupa, and turn into a butterfly.
Watching a butterfly emerge for the first time in person is something so amazing, and something you will never forget. Now that our science center no longer provides us these materials, I do not want my students to miss out on this experience.
I would like to purchase caterpillars, lady bug larva and habitat, a frog hatchery, and 2 feeders to go with my chick hatchery. This will allow my students to experience the life cycle first hand.
