This tow iPads will be used to access different types of software that will allow students to integrate their learning and create different types of media. Stop-motion video, collaborative video projects, commercials, and podcasts are some of the types of projects that I hope to use at our school.
Because I am the Drama Specialist at our school, these iPads will effectively be used in all grades. They can be specifically aligned with the state's core curriculum to ignite creative connection between the arts and what the technology allows. Students get really excited when they get to use new tools to express themselves and use technology. This would also be an effective tool for communicating success and learning to parents when created media is shared home.
Finally, this would create a good spectrum of learning for our students to build skills. Beginning in Kindergarten and First Grade, students can learn new skills which can be built upon, leading to more complex and more impressive products. This will also allow me to show more media to students so they can learn how to analyze media in a way that will make them smart consumers of online media.
