In teaching my 6th graders with distance learning this year I was curious how I was going to teach them about Science this year from their homes. Later in the fall I made and sent home a kit I had made from materials I found in my classroom and my students were engaged in their learning and asked if I would provide them more! So I started looking into what I was teaching in the spring for ideas of things I could make into a kit for my students to learn with hands-on materials.
I am requesting flashlights, mirrors, and magnifying glasses. One of our units on light can be very engaging if given the right materials. I have many of them in my classroom but the materials I'm asking for are ones I don't have enough for all of my 63 students to have in their own homes. I'm asking for help to purchase small flashlights, magnifying glasses, and mirrors for students to experiment with concepts of light. Thank you!
