Students at our school can be rewarded for their positive behavior with a coupon that they exchange at the school store. A lot of my students tell about how they get their pencil lead and notebooks from the store. Other students try to earn coupons to obtain the more desired reward, as a blue tooth speaker.
The students have a strong desire to succeed and want to purchase basic school supplies!
The students earn these coupons by helping their teacher with tasks in the classroom like, plugging in the computers to charge, cleaning off the counters, putting up chairs, sweeping the floor, etc. This shows me that the students are willing to do some work to earn the supplies they need for their school assignments.
Also, the more expensive items, like the blue tooth speakers, are held for a raffle. Students can choose to place their coupons in the raffle box. We need donation monies to help supply items for the raffles.
