My photography club students have been wanting to set up a portable photo booth for annual fundraisers for a few years now to raise enough funds have an Annul Art Show for the school. They were able to raise enough money for a portable printer and props but now they just need an iPad Pro. Why an iPad Pro? Well, it鈥檚 the only iPad recommended to use with an app that allows them to take pictures at the photo booth and send them directly to the already purchased portable printer for automatic printing. This will give them the opportunity to raise more money faster in the year to be able to organize the Art Show at our school along with more opportunities for Art/Museum field trips.
My club students are the best art advocates at our school and this will give them and other art students the opportunity to introduce, share and express themselves though the arts at our school and the community. Having an Annual Art Show will allow all the art students in the school, including students taking art classes to display their art work and show the community their talent. Giving students the opportunity to display art work and be part of an art show will bring exposure to their art, the experience of meeting people who are interested in their art and the opportunity to meet others within the community with same artistic interests.
Along with putting on an Art show the students will be coordinating art field trips to museums and public spaces for on-site photography and drawing. Even though the club focuses on photography, the club is open to all students interested in any of the visual arts as well.
