Many of my students do not have access at home to texts at their level. While my students currently have access to two sites for reading digital texts, the research is still out on the effects of reading e-books on the child's brain. Many researchers and educators state that getting actual books into the hands of students in vitally important during distance learning.

Students will receive 4-5 high interest fiction and non-fiction texts to read during distance learning. The texts are chosen are popular fiction and non-fiction series texts and are leveled to match student's reading ability. Texts will be delivered or mailed to students' homes and will align with our 3rd grade curriculum.
