A magazine full of current events and articles that strike students' interest? Scholastic News is the one to choose! My 5th graders will enjoy Scholastic News while practicing Close Reading on Nonfiction articles. This will give them a chance to use specific reading skills, such as, text features, text structures, and more.
Scholastic News magazines are full of colorful pictures, compelling stories, and interesting facts. Students will use these magazines to improve their nonfiction reading skills, expand vocabulary, and help raise reading levels all while learning about current events. I cannot wait to see their excitement while reading these magazines!
