The majority of my students come from low-income families with minimal parent support with education. The students have difficulty with speech, sensory processing, or the ability to focus. With the wobble cushions and timer, I can provide support with concentration and focus. Sensory items like water beads and kinetic sand are a great resource for sensory play for those students who learn through their senses.
As a result, I can provide an environment that tailors to the unique way the student learns.
Using a variety of visual and hands-on items during Reading and Math Centers will help keep the students engaged while working on grade level standards.
